1. What we collect
When you use Flirq we collect:
- Email address— to confirm you're 18+ and to contact you about your spot.
- Onboarding answers— age range, gender identity, what you're here for, your selected turn-ons.
- Approximate location — country only, derived from your IP address by our hosting provider.
- Technical data — your browser user-agent, the pages you visit, and the buttons you tap, for analytics.
We do not collect: real name, phone number, payment details, photos of you, or precise location.
2. Why we collect it
During this validation phase, we use your data to:
- Verify you are 18 or older.
- Email you when your spot opens or if the Service changes.
- Understand which kinds of users are interested in Flirq, so we can decide whether to build the full product.
3. Where your data is stored
Account-related data (email, onboarding answers, tap-events) is stored on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union (Frankfurt region).
Aggregated analytics events are processed by PostHog Inc. on servers located in the United States. By using Flirq you consent to the transfer of analytics data to the United States. We are working on moving analytics to PostHog's EU region as soon as the Service scales beyond this prototype phase.
Email delivery is handled by Resend (United States).
4. Cookies & similar technologies
We use two categories of storage:
- Strictly necessary — needed for the Service to function (your onboarding progress, your authentication session). These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — PostHog cookies that help us measure funnels. You can decline these via the cookie banner. If declined, we do not load PostHog.
5. How long we keep your data
During the validation phase, lead data is retained for up to 90 days after the campaign ends, then deleted unless you opt-in to continued contact for the full product launch.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@flirq.app from the email you used to sign up. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you are in the UK or EU and believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the relevant supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk).
7. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Resend, PostHog, Vercel) under their respective data-processing agreements.
- Government authorities when required by law.
8. Children
Flirq is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we'll delete the data immediately.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Significant changes (e.g. new third parties) will be communicated by email.
